About PWC

Pilipino Workers Center is a vehicle and resource center for the 1,000,000 Pilipino residents of Greater Los Angeles to come together to stand up for their rights in the workplace and improve their quality of life. PWC focuses on providing programs that help meet the immediate needs of workers and their families while also building their leadership to take collective action.  PWC’s work includes Strategic Enforcement campaigns in the homecare industry and a new project supporting workers to build Public Health Councils in the restaurant and food manufacturing industry.

Position Summary

The Lead Workplace Organizer will engage Filipino community members to advance PWC’s mission and organizing priorities as the lead organizer of the Public Health Councils team. The Lead Workplace Organizer will lead a team of 2-3 workers to outreach to workers in Restaurants and Food Manufacturing businesses in Los Angeles County to organize Public Health Councils to make their workplaces safer during this pandemic.

Compensation: $22-$27/hour + benefits commensurate with experience.
